Research Question
In my researc I've noticed the misconceptions and stereotyes surrounding low-income families. Rather than viewing poverty as a chance to help the community a lot of people are more ready to spread judgements and blame on something they probably don't understand. My research will strive to disprove these stereotypes by asking what the daily struggles of low-income families include and if these stereotypes prove to be correct by some degree I will look into how these problems can be solved. There are programs such as Baby Steps that have the sole purpose of helping families in need. I want to know why and how these programs are affective in solving this problem. Most importantly I want to let others know why poverty is a community wide problem and not one that only a certain type of people should have to deal with. How does poverty affect even those who are not living in it?
